Executive Leadership
Jon is the Chief Executive Officer and President of Ironwood. He joined the firm in 1996 and is a member of Ironwood’s Investment & Risk Committee, Management Committee, and Valuation Committee. He also serves as a Director for Ironwood's offshore and registered funds.
Jon was previously employed at St. Claire Capital Management, where he was General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer. His prior professional experience also includes positions at the Securities and Exchange Commission Division of Enforcement and Glenwood Financial Group. Jon earned a B.A., cum laude, from Williams College, a J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law, and is a member of the State Bar of California. Jon is a chapter member of YPO Golden Gate and a Trustee of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), where he has chaired the Investment Committee and served on the Executive Committee.

Alison joined Ironwood in 2005 and is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer. Alison is responsible for overseeing all of Ironwood’s operations including: legal, operational due diligence, compliance, administration, and accounting. Alison is a member of the firm's Management Committee, Operational Due Diligence Committee, Valuation Committee, and Compliance Committee.
Prior to Ironwood, Alison was a Principal with Banc of America Prime Brokerage. Prior to Banc of America, Alison spent two years with Grosvenor Capital Management and five years with the Hedge Fund Advisory Group of Arthur Andersen, LLP. Alison received a B.S. in Accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Alison served as a Board Member of the Miami University Foundation from 2017-2023 as a member of the Investment Committee, overseeing management and stewardship of the Miami University endowment. She is also a member of the Board of Regents for Bishop O’Dowd High School. In 2017, Alison was named to the EY | Hedge Fund Journal’s list of Top 50 Women in Hedge Funds.

Simon joined Ironwood in 2008 and is a Partner and Managing Director. Simon is responsible for overseeing Ironwood’s investment team and process. He is a member of the firm's Investment & Risk Committee.
Prior to Ironwood, Simon worked in the Investment Banking Division and Global Capital Markets group at Morgan Stanley where he helped advise clients on a wide variety of strategic and financial alternatives. Simon's prior experience also includes positions in the Investment Management Division of Morgan Stanley and the Private Client Group of Merrill Lynch. Simon received a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University. Simon is a CAIA designee and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. Simon is a member of the Investment Committee of the Catholic Diocese of Oakland.

Prior to Ironwood, Ben worked in the Health Care Investment Banking Group of Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown where he helped advise life sciences and medical technology clients on a wide variety of strategic and financial alternatives including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt issuances, and restructurings. Ben earned a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bill joined Ironwood in 2009 and is a Partner and Managing Director. Bill is responsible for overseeing Ironwood's Investor Relations team, as well as business development and managing Ironwood's national consultant and platform distribution relationships. Bill is a member of the firm's Compliance Committee.
Prior to Ironwood, Bill worked for eight years at Fisher Investments where he was a Vice President responsible for institutional consultant relations, client service, and business development in the Midwest. Bill received a B.G.S. in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas. Bill is a CAIA designee and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. Bill holds Series 24, 7, 63, 3 and 30 licenses and his background can be checked on FINRA's BrokerCheck.

Martha joined Ironwood in 2006 and is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer. Martha is responsible for overseeing financial and accounting matters for the firm, as well as supervising Ironwood’s fund accounting team.
Martha is a member of the firm's Management Committee, Operational Due Diligence Committee, Valuation Committee, and Compliance Committee. She also serves as Treasurer for Ironwood's registered funds.
Prior to Ironwood, Martha worked as a Performance Analyst for the PrivateEdge Group at State Street Bank. Martha received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Boston College.

Keith joined Ironwood in 2025 and is an Analyst. Keith focuses primarily on manager sourcing, analysis, and due diligence.
Prior to Ironwood, Keith worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Cain Brothers where he focused on M&A advisory, company valuation and analysis, and other strategic services for healthcare industry clients. Keith received a B.S. in Business Administration from The Ohio State University.

Prior to Ironwood, Ian worked in Business Development at Gigya, a venture backed technology firm focused on providing social infrastructure to businesses. Prior to Gigya, he was an Analyst at Capital Dynamics. Ian received a B.A. in Economics from Michigan State University. Ian holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago. Additionally, he is a CAIA designee and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. Cindy joined Ironwood in 2017 and is a Senior Vice President. Cindy focuses primarily on manager sourcing, analysis, and due diligence.
Prior to Ironwood, Cindy worked as an Associate at BlackRock where she helped build investment solutions for institutional clients and conducted capital markets analysis across a variety of financial assets. Cindy's prior experience also includes an analyst position at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Cindy received a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Chinese Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. Cindy is a CAIA designee and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. Cindy holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and her background can be checked on FINRA's BrokerCheck.

Jen joined Ironwood in 2018 and is a Senior Vice President. Jen focuses primarily on investor transfer agency and reporting.
Prior to Ironwood, Jen was an Investor Relations Senior Associate at Mesirow Advanced Strategies where she worked with non-US institutional investors, providing client service surrounding all aspects of the investment experience. Prior to Mesirow, Jen held several different positions at Man Investments. Jen received a Bachelor of Education from the University of Iowa.

Michael joined Ironwood in 2017 and is Chief Compliance Officer. Michael is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of Ironwood’s regulatory and compliance program and liaising with Ironwood’s compliance consultant, ACA Compliance Group. He is a member of the firm’s Compliance Committee and is the Secretary for Ironwood's registered funds.
Prior to Ironwood, Michael worked as a Senior Associate in the compliance group at Mesirow Advanced Strategies. Michael received a B.S. in Management from Emmanuel College and an M.B.A. from Roosevelt University.

Spencer joined Ironwood in 2015 and is a Director. Spencer focuses primarily on manager sourcing, analysis, and due diligence.
Prior to Ironwood, Spencer worked as a Senior Associate at Alternative Investment Management, LLC where he provided analytical resources to both the hedge fund and private equity portfolios for the firm. Spencer’s prior experience also includes a Portfolio Analyst position at Morgan Creek Capital Management where he focused on portfolio analytics and marketing across multiple fund-of-funds products. Spencer received a B.S. in Mathematical Decision Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Spencer holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of both the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of San Francisco. Spencer is a CAIA designee and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.

Hwi joined Ironwood in 2019 and is a Vice President. Hwi focuses primarily on technology, data analytics, and portfolio analysis.
Prior to Ironwood, Hwi worked as a Data Analyst at Claritas RX where he helped create custom analytics and data-driven solutions for institutional clients. Hwi received a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Master of Financial Engineering from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Hwi holds the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation. Hwi is a CAIA designee and is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association.

Meghan joined Ironwood in 2018 and is a Director. Meghan is responsible for overseeing general office administration, third party IT management, and human resources coordination. She is a member of the firm's Compliance Committee.
Prior to Ironwood, Meghan worked for seven years as a Vice President in O&T Control and Reporting at Citigroup. Prior to Citi, Meghan worked as an HR Analyst for Barclays Capital. Prior to Barclays, Meghan worked as an HR Generalist at Highbridge Capital Management. Meghan received a B.A. in Political Science from the George Washington University.

Jim joined Ironwood in 2018 and is a Director. Jim is responsible for overseeing Ironwood’s Investor Services team, as well as coordinating with Ironwood’s transfer agency and distribution partners. He is a member of the firm's Compliance Committee.
Prior to Ironwood, Jim spent twenty-one years with Grosvenor Capital Management where he held several different roles including Controller, Business Architect, and Treasurer. Prior to Grosvenor, Jim spent three years with Citadel Investment Group as Controller and two and a half years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in their financial services audit practice. Jim received a B.S. in Accountancy from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Jim holds Series 7 and 63 licenses and his background can be checked on FINRA's BrokerCheck.

Prior to Ironwood, Asher worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Kaizen Equity Partners where he focused on M&A advisory, capital raising, and other strategic services for software technology clients. Asher received a B.S. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.

Mike joined Ironwood in 2016 and is a Director. Mike is responsible for overseeing Ironwood’s Operational Due Diligence Program and conducting operational due diligence on Ironwood's underlying managers. He is a member of the firm's Operational Due Diligence and Valuation Committees.
Prior to Ironwood, Mike spent five years at Aurora Investment Management as an Analyst on the Operational Due Diligence team. Prior to Aurora, Mike worked for seven years on the Operations team at Driehaus Capital Management. Mike received a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University.
